What is Success?

How to Define Success in Life

There are some questions in life which are tricky to answer and the meaning of it keeps changing as we progress in life. I mean, Success has many meanings and every person has a different meaning of success. Sometimes the respect in the community or the top jobs in the big organization or winning a race or losing 5kg weight in a week or simply being happy in life makes you feel successful.

So the first question arises: What is a definition of success?

The oxford dictionary describes success as: “attaining wealth, prosperity and/or fame”.
In other words, you could say, success means the achievement of desired results of planned goals. Hence, if you can achieve your set goals, you will feel successful.

However, If the above definition was true then all the wealthy and famous people would be extremely happy but we often read that it's not the case. The reason why we think in such a manner because Media and Society often let us conclude that living a successful life means to be extraordinarily wealthy and have a lot of assets. However, the true meaning of success goes far beyond the common definitions of success, such as having a lot of money, being wealthy, having a lot of tangibles and earned degrees. True success in life cannot be measured with the above-mentioned factors.

What is Post-truth?

The Post-truth Era

Many people questioned me why I kept the name, the post-truth era blog? Is it a political blog? Are you affiliated with any party or person? Are you against Brexit or a fan of Narendra Modi or Donald Trump? My answer is simple, 'NO'. It's not a political blog, it's more about expressing our opinion to everyone, discuss things you always felt passionate about but never felt comfortable sharing as you don't want to get trolled by 'the guardian of the post truth era'. Most blogs have discussed this terminology in the reference of politics, but I want to focus more on What does Post-truth mean for us? Is this term has relevance in our life? Do we even need to know what is post-truth era? Is it important? Then, My answer is YES. It's important to know and understand about it.

OK, So without getting philosophical, I confess, I have never heard this word Post-truth even as far as a year back, but I read a news where after much debate and research, Post-truth was declared the Oxford Dictionaries Word of the Year 2016.
An adjective defined as ‘relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief.’
I wondered, maybe there is something to this adjective than a simple word, it kind of defined the era, like AD, BC, Post 9/11 or Post Millennium or Post Brexit. So It got my interest and I tried to dig a little deeper and tried to understand what it really means?

Why was this word chosen?

The untold story : Mr. Narendra Modi Vs Dr. Manmohan Singh Before elections

He gave first major interview to Arnab goswami, at Times Now channel before the Election 2014.

Must watch interview for everyone who is interested in Indian politics. It will give you a good picture of consistency of Mr. Modi after he became the Prime Minister. He is doing what he preached earlier.

Just for the reference, Everyone thinks Dr. Manmohan singh was one of the weak prime minister of India but I beg to differ. He has a sound and intellectual mind and knew exactly what was the need of the hour.  Please see this interview before he became prime minister.

Everyone were expecting to see this side of the Dr. Manmohan Singh but we saw helpless, subsequent and silent prime minister which damped the progress of India. However, I want people to see this and decide what they think?
